Warmteverschillen zijn vaak de uiterlijke tekenen van een dieper probleem. Met deze warmteverschillen kan duidelijk worden gemaakt waar bijvoorbeeld warmteverlies optreedt in gebouwen, waar de isolatie defect is of waar water binnendringt. Dit laatste zal rotting of schimmels veroorzaken.<\/p>\n<p>Een andere toepassing van het detecteren van warmteverschillen is het detecteren van opkomende of bestaande elektrische problemen. De meeste elektrische problemen zullen de weerstand in een geleider doen toenemen, wat op zijn beurt warmte genereert. Deze problemen zijn meestal niet door het menselijk oog waarneembaar, maar een infrarood drone inspectie kan dit in enkele seconden vinden.<\/p>\n<p>Het voordeel van het gebruik van een drone voor deze inspecties is dat de drone in staat is om die plaatsen te bereiken die normaal onveilig of ontoegankelijk zijn. Daarnaast geeft de \u2018bird eye\u2019-weergave een compleet overzicht.<\/p>\n<p>Een andere toepassing is het kijken naar het rendement van zonnepanelen.
